The Japanese authorities have rejected the prospect of deploying American nuclear weapons in the country. The statement came from Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during the discussion, TASS reports.
The Prime Minister stressed that the deployment of Washington nuclear weapons in Japan is impossible. "Our state is committed to the principles of being three non-nuclear countries," he reminded.
It is mentioned that we are talking about the principles adopted by the Japanese parliament in 1971. They have no legal force, but they fix Tokyo's refusal to have, develop or import nuclear weapons. At the same time, a number of politicians have recently voiced the expediency of deploying American weapons in the country.
