Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili believes that the situation in Ukraine cannot be stopped after the launch of a special operation by Russia, sanctions against Russia will be ineffective, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, Garibashvili announced that the country would not join the financial and economic sanctions imposed on Russia by the West.
“We see that there is no one today who can stop it. Let's accept that sanctions are not an effective way. Today, the Ukrainian military and the Ukrainian army are fighting in Ukraine. We must not forget that the country and the whole world are facing challenges. In this situation, any emotional or reckless step is risky,” Garibashvili said at a government meeting.
