At this stage, Washington sees no reason to continue the dialogue with Moscow on strategic stability. US First Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman stated this in an interview with Kommersant newspaper.
The diplomat reminded that Washington and Moscow held three meetings within the framework of that dialogue.
“The last meeting was an emergency aimed at preventing this terrible situation. We actually had a very constructive debate. But as a result, Russian President Vladimir Putin preferred war to diplomacy,” Sherman added.
