On February 22, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the Minister of Development and Investment of Greece Adonis Georgiadis.
The steps aimed at activating bilateral economic relations were discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador of Armenia noted that the bilateral political relations are at a high level, it is necessary to take steps to activate economic ties, to implement joint programs.
Adonis Georgiadis, in his turn, noted that the Greek-Armenian peoples are natural allies, and they should have strong ties in all spheres. The Minister highly assessed the role of the Greek-Armenian community in the Armenian-Greek relations.
A bilateral agreement has been reached to work in the near future to outline the directions promoting economic contacts. The possibilities of organizing bilateral visits were also discussed.
