The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued a statement, according to which the units of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions located in the vicinity of Shosh and Taghavard villages on February 20 and 21.
According to the press service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry, the facts stated in the statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry are completely false.
"The ceasefire was violated by the Azerbaijani units in the mentioned area, opening irregular fire in the direction of the Defense Army positions. There are no casualties due to the ceasefire violation.
The fact of violation of the ceasefire by the Azerbaijani units was reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops," the press service reported.
