Georgia reported 14 405 coronavirus cases, 24 409 recoveries, and 42 deaths on Friday, the official figures show, the First Channel reports.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 7 040 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 2 014 cases, and the Kakheti region with 948 cases.
A total of 48 595 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 30 616 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17 979 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 29, 64%, while 32, 04% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 526 205, among them 1 348 581 people recovered and 15 771 died.
There are 16 people quarantined, 5 818 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 013 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of February 18, 2 791 310 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 3 078 in a day.
