On February 15, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his Polish counterpart Zbigniew Rau in Moscow, who will arrive in Russia as OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
During the talks, it is planned to discuss the current issues of the OSCE in three areas of security: military-political, economic-environmental and humanitarian, as well as the work programs of the organization in 2022.
An exchange of views on the state of European security will take place.
The issue of OSCE assistance to the settlement of the conflicts in eastern Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh and Transnistria, as well as the mediation of the organization in the Geneva talks on security and stability in the Caucasus, its activities in the Balkans and Central Asia are expected to be discussed.
The situation in Ukraine will focus on the need for a working dialogue between the OSCE Co-ordinated Contact Group and a direct dialogue between Kyiv and Donbass.
The Russian-Polish relations, which, according to the Russian side, are in an unsatisfactory state, will also be discussed.
