Russian lawmakers are proposing a special law to their counterparts that would allow CSTO leaders to quickly decide on the use of CSTO forces without parliamentary approval, said Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the International Committee of the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reported.
"Recently, a parliamentary session of the heads of international commissions of all CSTO countries took place, during which we raised this issue. In the two CSTO countries, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, parliaments had to convene twice because it was not possible to vote in favor of using CSTO troops for the first time. We must avoid such cases,” the politician said during a hearing in the Federal Council on Monday.
