During his second day in France, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan visited the Armenian Evangelical Church and met with Honorary Vice-Chairman of the World Armenian Evangelical Council Joël Mikaélian (Chairman of the Armenian Evangelical Churches of France) and Rene Levonian (Chairman of the Armenian Evangelical Churches of Eurasia).
The High Commissioner learned about the Church’s activities and the support provided to Armenia and Artsakh from evangelical churches operating in 24 countries. "I immensely appreciate your work both at home and in Diaspora communities. We are prepared to support you in every possible way," said the High Commissioner, emphasizing the importance of educational, health and cultural programs.
Later, the High Commissioner visited the Samuel Moorat Armenian Middle School in Sèvres. "As an Armenian, I feel great pain seeing the school in this way. There is history here, and those pages should never be turned," the High Commissioner said. A number of programs are being developed to allow the classrooms and the theater building to be used once again.
