US President Joe Biden hosted an online meeting of transatlantic leaders to discuss the crisis in Ukraine, NHK World-Japan News reports.
The meeting took place on Friday with Biden and the leaders of Canada, the EU, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, the UK, and NATO.
Russia has amassed about 100,000 troops along the border with Ukraine. It is also holding military drills with soldiers in neighboring Belarus.
Biden told the leaders to prepare for any scenario. He warned Moscow that military escalation will come with "massive consequences and severe economic costs."
The leaders say they are still pushing for a diplomatic solution to the crisis, but they warn an attack could happen "any day now."
