During the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the statement of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
“I want to reaffirm that it is not the first time that Alexander Lukashenko’s original geopolitical analyzes, comments received the attention of various international partners, they are being discussed in different countries, including our country. We are deeply convinced that these statements were aimed at serving the Belarusian President’s domestic political agenda. You can be sure that it has nothing to do with the domestic political agenda of Armenia,” Mirzoyan said.
Mirzoyan also confirmed that the Ambassador of Belarus to our country visited the Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Our convictions were conveyed to the Ambassador that our statements about each other should be based on mutual respect, take into account each other's interests, sovereignty, as well as the legal framework on which the cooperation between our countries is based,” Mirzoyan said.
Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Armenia is ready to continue supporting Belarus in various international platforms in case of relevant official applications.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that in the next 15 years the Union State initiated by Moscow and Minsk will include most of the former USSR republics - Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian states.
