The non-recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by Alexander Lukashenko is the merit of former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. The former Georgian leader announced this today, February 9.
“I had four secret meetings in London with Lukashenko. It was secret diplomacy. The fact that South Ossetia and Abkhazia have not yet been recognized by Lukashenko is the result of my trips to London,” Saakashvili said.
At the same time, Saakashvili did not indicate the exact date when he held meetings with Lukashenko, referring to the secrecy of information about his flight to the British capital.
Besides, during the court session, the defendant took the flag of Ukraine and sang the anthem of that country. His lawyer turned on the music.
The former President of Georgia considers the accusations against him for misuse of state funds groundless.
