The negative effects of tough sanctions on Russia are inevitable for those who initiate them in the West. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We understand very well that none of the sides is interested in such a development. We treat the numerous threats of sanctions as an ineffective provocation of the information environment around Russia, including through the prism of the ‘Ukrainian plot,’" Pankin said.
The head of the press service of the US State Department Ned Price said that the delegation of the State Department will discuss the technical coordination of sanctions against Russia in Europe in case of aggravation of the situation around Ukraine.
