In the event of Ukraine's aggression, Belarus will take the side of Russia, and a joint response from Minsk and Moscow will follow at the start of hostilities in the Donbass. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the air of the Соловьёв LIVE program.
During the conversation, Vladimir Solovyov asked Lukashenko how the Belarusian army would behave in the event of an attack by Ukraine on the Donbass. In response, the Belarusian leader replied that "just like the Russian one." According to him, in the event of an escalation of the military conflict in the Donbass, Minsk will join Moscow for a retaliatory strike. Lukashenko stressed that he fully shares Putin's position on the red lines, and if Ukraine crosses them, then the answer will follow immediately in all areas, including the military. According to him, Kiev knows that Belarus will take the side of Russia.
Commenting on the situation around Ukraine, Lukashenka noted that the United States is pushing Kiev to war, but even in the event of a war, no one will intervene in the conflict, neither the United States nor Europe. According to him, there will be no big war, because in Europe they understand that it is futile to fight with Russia. Or rather, to fight with us, he corrected himself.
“Therefore, they understand that it is futile to fight with us, especially with Russia. We are not talking about some kind of nuclear and other weapons. But it's better not to touch us. Don't touch us,” he added.
At the same time, the Belarusian leader is confident that Ukraine will not fight against Russia and Belarus, despite the West pushing it to do so. And in the event of the outbreak of hostilities, they will not last more than three or four days and end with the complete victory of Moscow and Minsk.
