On January 27, the Alen Simonyan, the President of the National Assembly of Armenia received Mohammed Haj Ibrahim, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to Armenia. He completes his diplomatic mission in our country.
Alen Simonyan thanked the diplomat for his contribution to the development of Armenian-Syrian relations. He expressed confidence that the relations established during the years of the Ambassador’s tenure will be continuous for both countries.
The Speaker of Parliament assured that the National Assembly will continue the effective cooperation with friendly Syria both in the international arena and in the development of bilateral relations.
The Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic thanked for warm words, mentioning that he worked in Armenia with great enthusiasm and love. He stressed that the implementation of his mission was combined with the study of the historical heritage of Armenia and new revelations. According to the Ambassador, just as Columbus discovered America, so the world needs to discover Armenia and the centuries-old wisdom of the Armenian people.
Alen Simonyan wished the diplomat success in his further activity, and conveyed lasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Syria.
