Georgia reported 17 484 coronavirus cases, 3 699 recoveries, and 27 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show, the First Channel reports.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 8 989 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 2 255 cases, and the Imereti region with 2 222 cases.
A total of 73 250 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 44 185 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 29 065 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 23, 87 %, while 16, 51 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 110 168, among them 981 531 people recovered and 14 840 died.
There are 42 people quarantined, 4 714 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 080 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 27, 2 686 220 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 8 630 in a day.
