Today the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe Arman Khachatryan met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjørn Berge.
During the meeting, Arman Khachatryan handed over for safekeeping Armenia’s ratification of the protocol amending the Convention on the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data.
After the signing of the relevant document, a private conversation took place, during which the parties referred to Armenia's cooperation with the Council of Europe, the issues on the agenda of the Council of Europe, as well as regional issues.
Reference was made to the process of Armenia-CE 2019-2022 Action Plan implementation and the start of work on the development of a new Action Plan.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue effective cooperation aimed at supporting the ongoing reforms in Armenia in the areas of democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
