Georgia reported 8 767 coronavirus cases, 5 173 recoveries, and 49 deaths on Friday, the official figures show, the First Channel reports.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 5 052 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 861 cases, and the Adjara region with 851 cases.
A total of 56 386 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 35 725 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20 661 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 15, 55 %, while 11, 39 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 030 710, among them 951 428 people recovered and 14 631 died.
There are 39 people quarantined, 4 342 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 895 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 21, 2 643 528 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 7 059 in a day.
