The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan answered the question of one of the deputies on the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. In particular, at the January 14 press conference, Lavrov said that the Armenian side had passed proposals that had been sent to Baku.
Mirzoyan presented the proposals:
“The information provided by the Russian Foreign Minister corresponds to reality. The Armenian side has prepared a package of measures aimed at de-escalating the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, reducing tensions, increasing security and stability, and passed it to both the Russian side and, through the Russian side, to Azerbaijan. We are now waiting for a response.”
However, Mirzoyan did not publish the details.
“I can only say that they come from our general concept of mirror withdrawal of troops voiced by the Prime Minister, the Government, and the creation of additional security mechanisms,” said Ararat Mirzoyan.
