I made the decision to endow Ruben Rubinyan with that status. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, referring to the question of the Parlaiment’s ‘Armenia’ faction deputy Gegham Manukyan on appointing Parliament Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan to Armenia’s Special Representative in the negotiations with Turkey.
“I have authorized, I bear the responsibility, I will bear the responsibility,” said Nikol Pashinyan, noting that regardless of who will be the negotiator, it is clear that he bears all the responsibility for the process.
The Prime Minister noted that he endowed Ruben Rubinyan with those powers due to political expediency.
“Ruben Rubinyan is accountable to me, to Armenia’s Security Council, and mostly, to the people of Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
