We have said that our priority in the CSTO, including during our presidency, is to improve the response mechanisms of the CSTO to respond to crisis situations in order to understand whether there is a mechanism working there or not. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer.
“When the time came for us to take action on our entire agenda, yes, I made a decision, of course, with our other CSTO partners, and for the first time in the history of the CSTO, there was a rapid response mechanism. Is this good for Armenia's interests or is it bad? Of course, it is good. Are all the questions answered with this? No, they are not,” Pashinyan said.
As for the further Armenia-CSTO relations, according to the Prime Minister, the Armenian Government has sufficient powers to make decisions if necessary, in cases where it is not expedient, it will not be effective, not to make them.
