From the point of view of economic activity and trade turnover, it is indisputable that the Armenian-Turkish border is better open than closed, said Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan. He also referred to the alternative Armenia-Iran cargo transportation after the construction of the Tatev-Aghvani road. Badasyan assured that the number of trucks coming to Armenia from Iran has not changed. He added that more Iranian trucks coming to Armenia pass through the newly built road than the one where Azerbaijani customs points have been located.
Rustam Badasyan (Chairman of the State Revenue Committee) - We have lost zero cars, because all the cars enter through Meghri, Agarak, we have no shortage of payment. They pass through alternative routes more, and if we have another route, I believe we will not have a flow through that route.
