During the question-and-answer session between Armenia’s Parliament and Government, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan answered the question of one of the deputies about the mirror withdrawal of the troops of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
It should be reminded that Mirzoyan said that the Armenian side passed a package of measures aimed at raising the level of security and stability to the Russian side and through the latter - to Azerbaijan.
“I cannot reveal many details, but I want to say that the package I have presented provides detailed mechanisms, in case of which no road or village will be left unprotected. I cannot reveal many details at the moment, but at the moment the borders between Soviet Armenia and Soviet Azerbaijan are being discussed as a border for the mirror withdrawal of troops,” Mirzoyan said.
The Minister also answered the question what he had said at the meeting with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Stockholm.
“It is not about an official meeting. We just walked side by side in the hallway between the two rooms, where the formal session was to take place. Our conversation was approximately like this. Hello, hello, nice to meet you, we are ready for the settlement, we are also ready for the settlement, in that case, we will appoint a representative, as soon as we go home, we will immediately introduce a representative and start the process. I think this is a good conversation, and the signals are positive,” Mirzoyan said.
The Minister noted that since the meeting was not official, there was no announcement about it.
