Borders with neighbors in the Caucasus are important for Iran, Tehran will not accept border changes.
The statement came from Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on international affairs, in an interview with the daily Kayhan, referring to developments in the South Caucasus.
“Experience has shown that when countries’ borders change, a crisis appears, the end of which is unknown. In the South Caucasus, we are bordered by Azerbaijan and Armenia. We will not allow the borders to be changed,” Velayati said.
