Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is holding a press conference on the results of the work of Russian diplomats in 2021, answering journalists’ questions. This time it is held with a mixed format. The Minister can be contacted ‘online’ or in person, TASS reports.
Although formally dedicated to the results of the past year, the journalists were also interested in the events that took place in Kazakhstan earlier this year and the participation of CSTO peacekeepers.
Lavrov told at the news conference that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeeping mission, at the request of President of Kazakhstan Tokayev, had helped overcome the terrorist threat in Kazakhstan.
“At the request of the President of Kazakhstan, the CSTO peacekeeping forces helped to overcome the obvious terrorist threat, which appeared in the territory of Kazakhstan not without the external influence,” said the Foreign Minister.
