Georgia reported 5 326 coronavirus cases, 3 044 recoveries, and 48 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show, the First Channel reports.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 3 148 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 563 cases, and the Imereti region with 437 cases.
A total of 55 474 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 32 029 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 23 445 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9. 6 %, while 8.86 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 979 235, among them 922 411 people recovered and 14 359 died.
There are 75 people quarantined, 4 436 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 075 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 11, 2 588 299 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 9 700 in a day.
