Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan referred to the decision of the Government on not expanding the ban on Turkish goods during the briefing with reporters.
“When the government decided to lift the restrictions, there were political considerations. As a responsible body for the economy, we must follow and defend the companies, which opened during the year”, Kerobyan said.
As for the case that the import of Turkish goods can hinder the activities of local manufacturers, Kerobyan mentioned:
“We will follow, if we see that there are issues and the businesses of investors are in danger because their business cannot compete with the Turkish companies, we will definitely introduce several programs to defend them”.
