Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Stanislav Zas informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the start of the withdrawal of the peacekeeping unit from the country, the website of the Kazakh President reported.
Earlier, Tokayev had reported that the withdrawal of the peacekeeping forces is initiated on Thursday, January 13.
“The leader of the country thanked the CSTO allies for the support and help to Kazakhstan on time, in the conditions of attacks”, the message says.
On Thursday, an extraordinary session of the Council of Defense Ministries of CSTO will be held in a video conference format.
