The video conference of the CSTO leaders, dedicated to the situation in Kazakhstan, started. The video conference was convened at the suggestion of the President of Kazakhstan and chaired by Armenia.
The sitting was opened by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, at whose suggestion the leaders of the member states of the organization observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Kazakh clashes.
Today is a day of mourning in Kazakhstan. The Armenian leader presiding over the CSTO reminded that due to the aggravation of the situation in Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev applied to the CSTO for help. During the immediate consultations, it was decided to send CSTO peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan.
