In the pavilion of “Lurer”, the Secretary of Security Council Armen Grigoryan referred to the question of why a decision was made to send CSTO peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan during the presidency of Armenia in CSTO.
The commentator of “Lurer” mentioned that Armenia did not receive such a response when our country needed help. It is about the violation of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
“We worked the CSTO mechanisms for the first time, showed how they must work. We hope that further if Armenia is in such situation, it will get an according help”, Grigoryan said.
To the question of what troops are planned to be sent from Armenia and if they already left, Armen Grigoryan answered that the detailed information on the participation of the troops and the operation will be provided regularly by the Defense Ministry.
“The Armenian peacekeeping forces will participate in the defense of objects of military significance”, Grigoryan reported.
