Russian and Turkish foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Çavuşoğlu had a telephone conversation on Thursday. A source at the republic's Foreign Ministry told TASS.
The source said that they discussed bilateral relations, the upcoming meeting of the Russia-NATO Council, the latest developments in Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Caucasus.
Lavrov expressed support for the efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia, the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
The Ministers positively assessed the first meeting in the 3+3 format on normalization and development of cooperation in the South Caucasus, which took place in Moscow on December 10, 2021. It was agreed to prepare the next meeting with the same composition in the near future. Lavrov expressed support for the efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia, the Russian Foreign Ministry statement reads.
