President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation on January 2, the Kremlin website reports.
Putin and Erdogan exchanged seasons’ greetings, summed up the main results of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their intention to further promote the mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Turkey.
International topics were also touched upon, including well-known proposals to develop legal agreements that would guarantee the security of the Russian Federation, as well as the developments in Transcaucasia and issues related to the Syrian and Libyan settlement process.
The leaders agreed to stay in touch.
