The Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan presented the epidemic situation in Armenia during the Government session.
“Happily, at the moment we have a quite good epidemic situation associated with a new coronavirus infection. Yesterday 129 cases from 6885 tests and 15 deaths were registered”, Avanesyan said.
She mentioned that the study shows that the favorable situation will be preserved if the citizens maintain anti-epidemic rules on pre-holiday and holiday days.
“By the sequencing results in Armenia, the new “Omicron” is not discovered. When we have a found case, we will make it public. The data shows that the vaccinations provide a fairly high threshold of protection against the Omicron”, Avanesyan stated.
