Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on Wednesday reprimanded the republic's ambassador to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev for statements not agreed beforehand, that gave rise to speculation in the media. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz state, TASS reports.
During the press conference, Osmonaliev spoke about the initiative of Kyrgyzstan to convene the "5 + 3" platform, in which the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus will participate. Cooperation of the participating states is expected in the fields of politics, economy and culture. According to the ambassador, the neighbors of the supposed countries participating in the platform - Russia, Iran, China, Turkey - are also showing interest in the initiative.
In the press, publications appeared with reference to the press conference of the head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission that allegedly “Kyrgyzstan invited the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus to meet separately from Russia.” The presidential administration called these publications untrue and provocative.
