Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he is ready for any format of talks with Russia, Ukrinform reports.
He told this to journalists in the village of Huta in Ivano-Frankivsk region. When asked if Zelensky was calling Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said:
"It seems to me that we both don't pick up [the phone] because we don't call each other. […] We openly say that we are ready for dialogue, we need the Russian side to say that they are ready."
He stressed that the Ukrainian side is ready to meet with Russia in any format with the participation of any international partners or face to face, but Russia's readiness is needed.
"Our [Ukrainian and Russian presidential] administrations are talking about what could be the agenda of our meeting. If the administrations fail to agree on complex documents within a certain period of time, I will call him directly," Zelensky added.
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine offered ten steps to implement the Minsk agreements, which were passed to the United States, Russia, France and Germany.
"We are constantly preparing and initiating various documents, various steps so that nobody tells us that we don't want anything," Zelensky said.
