According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, the next meeting within the 3 + 3 platform will be held in Ankara. Çavuşoğlu expressed hope that Georgia will also take part in it.
“We had a meeting in Moscow, but Georgia did not participate. The next meeting will be held in Ankara and we expect Georgia's participation in the next meeting,” Çavuşoğlu said.
The first meeting within the 3 + 3 format was held in Moscow on December 10, but Georgia did not participate in it. The platform of the six (Russia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia), 3 + 3 format, implies the format of cooperation between the countries of the region and the initiative to create it belongs to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Georgian authorities have repeatedly stated that they will not consider participating in the format in which Russia is involved.
