Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan referred to the statement made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who said that special representatives could meet in the near future within the framework of the dialogue between Armenia and Turkey.
“We have appointed special representatives for direct contacts with Armenia, they will meet as soon as possible,” said Çavuşoğlu.
Referring to the resumption of Istanbul-Yerevan flights, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that several Armenian and Turkish companies had applied for permission, adding that “applications are being studied.”
“In case of an agreement on the dates of the meeting of special representatives within the framework of the dialogue between Armenia and Turkey, the public will be properly informed,” Vahan Hunanyan told 1lurer.am.
Earlier, we reported that Turkey has appointed a special envoy for normalization of relations with Armenia.
Armenian Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan will be the Special Representative of Armenia in the Armenia-Turkey dialogue process.
