The delegation headed by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is in Brussels to participate in the 6th EaP Summit, which will take place tomorrow, December 15. Before that, the Prime Minister's working visit started with a private talk with the President of the European Council Charles Michel.
During the private talk that lasted for about an hour, the parties touched upon the issues to be discussed at the planned trilateral meeting. The parties referred to the need to continue and strengthen the dialogue. Charles Michel reaffirmed the EU's readiness to promote stability in the region. Prime Minister Pashinyan, in his turn, highlighted the development of EU-Armenia cooperation.
Nikol Pashinyan and Charles Michel also touched upon the agenda and issues under discussion of the sixth summit of the Eastern Partnership to be held on December 15 in Brussels. The parties highlighted the development of Armenia-EU cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership and the effective implementation of programs for the benefit of the implementation of institutional reforms and the strengthening of democracy in our country.
Both sides stressed the importance of the reforms launched in Armenia during the last three years and the steps taken by the Armenian Government in that direction. In this regard, the President of the European Council stressed the readiness of the EU to further deepen and expand the partnership in implementing the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Early in the morning of December 15, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will start a series of bilateral meetings with partners from European countries.
