On December 9, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Paris with a working visit, had a meeting with Louise Mushikiwabo, the Secretary General of the International Organisation of “la Francophonie”. The interlocutors discussed the process of implementing the initiatives in the framework of Armenian presidency in OIF.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Louise Mushikiwabo referred to the strengthening prospects of Armenia-Francophonie cooperation, particularly through implementing programs in the spheres of economy and youth.
The Armenian Foreign Minister emphasized that Armenia supports the agenda of the reforms of the organization suggested by the Secretary General of OIF.
The Secretary General of OIF presented to the Armenian Foreign Minister the final report of the observation mission implemented by OIF during the parliamentary elections in Armenia in June.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Louise Mushikiwabo exchanged thoughts on the issues related to the preparatory works of the organization ahead of the Francophonie 18th summit initiated in 2022 in Tunisia.
During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan presented to his counterpart a number of issues of regional stability and security.
