On December 9, Chairman of SRC Rustam Badasyan received the delegation led by Head of Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Mirashrafi.
During the meeting, the participants attached importance to the steps directed at exchange of preliminary electronic data between the customs administrations of the two countries in terms of international transportation of goods and vehicles. The parties expressed willingness to share details of contact persons in order to finalize the required activities and the process of launch by March of 2022.
In the course of the meeting, the parties considered mechanisms of facilitation of customs procedures to boost fast servicing of cargo transportation. SRC’s senior staff expressed willingness to keep in touch with the Iranian partners 24/7 to raise the efficiency of customs administration. To ensure this, the parties will exchange contact details of subdivisions in charge.
Badasyan assured that all issues concerning development of cooperation between Armenia and Iran are not only among the priorities of SRC but also of the Government of Armenia, and that Armenia will take all efforts to enhance them even more.
The delegation led by Head of Customs Administration of Iran Mehdi Mirashrafi was presented also the National Single Window for Foreign Trade of Armenia, the entire process of declaration on electronic platform, including an innovative toolset used in risk management system. The parties discussed the Big Data Analytics Reports system, and the border crossing time monitoring system, and other systems of monitoring and reporting of customs control procedures were demonstrated in real-world environment.
During the meeting, the parties reached agreement to hold active discussions on bilateral and multilateral platforms regarding programs of cooperation.
