At the briefing with journalists, Andranik Kocharyan, Chairman of Armenia’s Parliament Standing Committee on Defense and Security, referred to the statement of the President of Azerbaijan on the ‘Zangezur Corridor’.
The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey referred to the results of the trilateral meeting in Sochi a few days ago at the Economic Cooperation Organization summit in Ashgabat.
“I believe that Mr. Aliyev had the opportunity to clearly state his point of view during the trilateral talks. What they mean with Mr. Erdogan by the concept of ‘corridor’, our Prime Minister presented the point of view from the interests of the Republic of Armenia - it is about communications. ‘Corridor’ is another concept. There was no such agenda, you yourself noticed,” said Andranik Kocharyan.
Kocharyan stressed that the Azerbaijani armed forces must leave the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
“The sooner the Azerbaijanis leave our sovereign territory, the better. There can be no foreign armed forces in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia,” Kocharyan emphasized.
