The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a joint statement, based on the trilateral meeting held in Sochi. The statement reads as follows:
"We, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N.V. Pashinyan, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan I.H. Aliyev, and the President of the Russian Federation V.V Putin, met on 26 November 2021 in the city of Sochi and discussed the progress of implementing the Statement of 9 November 2020 on complete ceasefire and cessation of all military operations in Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone and the Statement of 11 January 2021 on unblocking all economic and transportation links in the region.
We reaffirmed the commitment to the further consistent implementation and strict compliance with all the provisions of the Statement of 9 November 2020 and 11 January 2021 for the benefit of the stability, security and economic development of the South Caucasus. We agreed to enhance joint efforts aimed at the swift resolution of all the remaining issues arising from the statements of 9 November 2020 and 11 January 2021.
We marked the significant contribution of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in stabilizing the situation and ensuring security in the region.
We agreed to take steps for increasing the level of stability and security on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and work towards creating a bilateral commission on delimitation and further demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the advisory participation of the Russian Federation upon the request of the Parties.
We highly appreciated the activities of the Trilateral Working Group on unblocking all economic and transportation links in the region, created in accordance with the Statement of 11 January 2021, under the joint chairmanship of Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, and the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. We stressed the necessity of swiftly launching specific projects aimed at revealing the economic potential of the region.
The Russian Federation will continue providing necessary assistance for normalizing the relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, building an atmosphere of trust between the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples, as well as establishing good neighborly relations in the region."
