I can confirm that Armenia applied to Moscow for the issue of mediation support between Yerevan and Ankara. Maria Zakharova, the Official Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced during the weekly briefing referring to the issue of the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relationships.
“Russia is interested in that and previously made efforts for the process of the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relationships. Our country is ready to also support it in the future”, said Zakharova.
According to her, the start of the process will undoubtedly contribute to the general recovery of the situation in the region and the formation of neighborliness and trust atmosphere.
“When there will be practical news, we will definitely inform you about them, if it doesn’t harm the actual negotiation, considering its sensitivity”, added the Official Representative.
