Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Rwanda to Armenia Frank Mushyo Kamanzi (residence in Moscow), handed over the credentials today to President Armen Sarkissian.
President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador and wished effective work.
The Ambassador assured that he will put all his efforts to develop the relationships between the two countries. He transferred to the Armenian President the warm greetings and best wishes of Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda.
President Armen Sarkissian mentioned that Armenia and Rwanda have many commonalities, a similar history, both countries have passed through heavy challenges, at the same time they have many advantages which they can turn into success.
Referring to the possible directions for cooperation, the Armenian President said that the two countries have coincident interests, the achievements of Rwanda in electronic governance and new technologies are impressing, and the partnership in these areas could be promising. Mentioning that he links Armenia’s future with the development of modern technologies, science and education, the Armenian President evaluated implementing joint innovative and research projects, as well as the cooperation in high technologies and innovations.
The President mentioned that Armenia and Rwanda are the members of the Francophonie international organization, which is an important platform for cooperation with its strong potential and creates new possibilities for work.
