The tension on the border has operatively weakened as a result of the mediation activities of the Russian side. Maria Zakharova, the Official Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this during the weekly briefing referring to the question on the issue of the last border tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We continue to carefully follow the situation on the border. Contacts with Armenian and Azerbaijani partners take place”, said Zakharova.
