On November 18, the US Embassy to Armenia issued a Security Alert, which led to a number of speculations and spread of disinformation by various sources.
In response to Lurer’s inquiry, the US diplomatic mission in our country presented the main reasons for the warning.
“On November 18, the Embassy issued an alert advising U.S. citizens that U.S. Embassy employees and their families had been prohibited from any non-essential travel between the villages of Karahunj and Davit Bek on the M2 highway and between Kapan and Chakaten on the M17 highway, due to reports of increased enforcement of Azerbaijani immigration and customs checkpoints on those sections of the highways.”
