The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session with the extended staff started in Yerevan.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan greeted the leaders of the governments of the member states and reported that he is sincerely happy for the opportunity to host them.
Referring to the situation in Armenia, the PM mentioned that unfortunately the session is being held in a tense situation for our country.
“I can not pass by the fact that just like a year ago when we were hosting the regular session of the intergovernmental council, today Armenia also faces serious challenges threatening the security. Our region was involved in a new tension phase, which unfortunately led to human losses. Azerbaijan is responsible for this, its military provocations are directed to the violation of our territorial integrity and the abortion of the agreements on November 9 2020 and January 11, 2021 trilateral announcements”, said the Prime Minister.
