On November 17, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan took part in the 9th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS member states in Moscow.
During the meeting, the threats from Afghanistan, the cooperation of the CIS member states in the field of migration and humanitarian issues, as well as the security issues arising from the development of biotechnology were discussed.
The CIS member states have expressed their readiness to further expand the scope of cooperation.
Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan made a speech in which, in addition to the above-mentioned issues, he referred to the incursion of Azerbaijani troops into the territory of the Republic of Armenia and the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Grigoryan particularly noted that Azerbaijan not only does not observe the ceasefire regime, but also does not fulfill the agreements reached as a result of the above-mentioned agreements. And Armenia considers the military operations carried out by Azerbaijan a step towards the territorial integrity of Armenia.
The Secretary of the Security Council stressed that Armenia remains committed to the peace process, is ready to start the process of delimitation and demarcation, but at the same time will resolutely repel any military aggression from its borders.
On unblocking the communication routes Grigoryan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the format formed at the level of deputy prime ministers, and is ready to make every effort to implement the agreements reached on November 9 and January 11.
