On November 17, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko had a telephone conversation with Toivo Klaar, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, reported the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry. They discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The parties referred to the aggravation of the situation in certain parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, expressing concern over the armed conflicts.
Rudenko and Klaar stressed the imperative of Baku and Yerevan to show restraint and solve all the problems exclusively through political-diplomatic means.
