Suren Papikyan has been appointed Armenia’s Minister of Defense. This is mentioned in the decree of Armenia’s President.
"Based on the suggestion of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5, Part 1 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, to appoint Suren Papikyan Minister of Defense,” the decree reads.
By another decree of Armenia’s President, Suren Papikyan was relieved of the post of Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister.
Earlier we reported that Arshak Karapetyan was relieved of the post of Armenia’s Minister of Defense.
